In Loving Memory of

Albert Felix Aucoin Jr. June 29, 1946 – November 9, 2025 “Let the memory of Albert be with us forever.”

Albert Felix Aucoin Jr., 79, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Albert F. Aucoin Sr of New Orleans and Bernice Reed of Boothbay Harbor, Maine. He grew up with one sister, Brenda A. Aucoin (Boudreaux, Prescott).

Early Life and Family

Albert enlisted in the United States Navy as a young man, beginning a life marked by service, hard work, and resilience.

During his time stationed in California, he entered his first marriage, from which he had one son who preceded him in death.

In 1967, he married Linda Z. Arceneaux Penton, and together they welcomed three children: Joseph, Duane, and Bernice.

Albert later entered a third marriage, during which he helped raise stepchildren. That marriage ended in the early 2000s.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents and three sons. He is survived by his daughter Bernice Aucoin-Thieme, and granddaughter Hannah Thieme.

He is also survived by grandchildren through his deceased son Joseph:

Career and Work

Albert served proudly in the U.S. Navy, later working as a milkman, and eventually building a long career as an HVAC technician with Gateaux’s in New Orleans. His work ethic and reliability were well known to those who worked alongside him.

Heritage and Hobbies

An Acadian‑Cajun by heritage, Albert loved the outdoors and the water. In his younger years, he spent much of his free time boating on Lake Pontchartrain and riding his motorcycle. Later in life, he enjoyed three‑wheeling through Honey Island Swamp with his daughter and stepchildren—memories that remain cherished.

Later Years

In the early 2000s, Albert’s life became more isolated, but he continued to pursue knowledge through continuing education courses, something he took pride in. In mid‑2025, he began experiencing significant heart issues and ultimately passed away from heart failure.

A Life Worth Remembering

Albert existed, he mattered, and he deserves to be remembered. This memorial was created by his daughter, Bernice Aucoin‑Thieme, to honor his life, his struggles, his joys, and the legacy he leaves behind.

May he rest in peace and be free from regrets that tortured his soul.
