Obituary for Becky Jean Ward

Becky Jean Ward, born August 15, 1963, in Streator,, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Becky spent her early years growing up in Brimfield, Illinois, before moving to Florida.  This is where Becky’s heart has always remained.  She later made her home in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many.

At the time of her passing, Becky was surrounded by love. Theresa Fowler and Jeff & Kristen Fortner were by her side as she took her final breath.

Becky is survived by her beloved son, Patrick Todd Ward of Orlando, Florida; her sister, Jayne Ward-Hachey of Largo, Florida; her brother-in-law, Ben Hachey of Largo, Florida; and her sister-in-law, Brenda Ward of Pinellas Park, Florida.

She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Toddie Ward of St. Pete, Florida; Joey Hachey of Pinellas Park, Florida; Austin Hachey of Largo, Florida; Jolene Ward and Rachel Ward of Pinellas Park, Florida; and her great-niece, Imagin Ward.

Becky is further survived by her daughters, Kelsey Gates and Crystal Phillips, who held a special place in her heart.

Becky will be cremated in Fort Worth, Texas, and her ashes will be brought home to Florida. A memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family.
