Belinda Jean Payton passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 71.
Belinda was born on October 20, 1953, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Emma Stella Payton and Bobby Gene Payton. From a young age, she carried a quiet curiosity and an independent spirit, always choosing her own path and living life on her terms.
In her early years, Belinda began her career at Penzoil in Texas before setting aside work life to start a family. She was the mother of four children, and her unforgettable laugh and sharp sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Belinda had a unique way of seeing the world, and her stories and one-liners will be remembered by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma Stella and Bobby Gene Payton; her brother, David Frank Payton; and her sister, Bobbie Jean Payton.
Belinda is survived by her life partner: Billy Boquell, her beautiful children: Bobbie Murphy, Michael Murphy, John Wible, and Cristina Wible, her sister Debra Jean Berchiatti, her husband Scott Berchiatti, and their daughter Amber Berchiatti, as well as her many wonderful grandchildren, who continue to bring light and joy into this world.
Belinda’s life was marked by resilience and individuality, full of color and contrast. Though her journey through life held struggles, she met those challenges with strength in her own way. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons learned, and the love that endures. She will be remembered always.
