Blake Leon Smith 1952-2023, age 71, of Lake Tapps, WA passed away August 04, 2023, from pancreatic cancer. Born in Pomona, California to parents Lawrence and Sue Smith, he later moved to Santa Monica, California where he met his wife and enjoyed surfing, bowling, and golf. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree at California State University at Northridge, then moved to Colorado, earning a Master’s Degree from Denver Theological Seminary. He always worked to support his family, whether in California, Colorado, Michigan, Connecticut, or Washington. He leaves behind his wife (Carolina Smith), son (Kelson Smith), daughter (Brianna Smith), four grandchildren, and sister (Laurel). World’s Greatest Dad and World’s Best Husband truly applied to Blake. Nothing was more important to him than family. His nature was easy-going, warm, always seeking ways to help out. Blake embodied Love. An obituary cannot do him justice. His honor is in the millennia of small acts that made up his daily, then totality of his life.
