In Loving Memory of Brian C. Grass
February 8, 1972 – November 8, 2025
Brian C. Grass, 53, of Sandbridge, Virginia, passed away on November 8, 2025, after a courageous battle and nearly two months in the hospital. Born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island on February 8, 1972, Brian moved with his family to Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 12, where he built lifelong friendships and memories.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Irene Grass and Malcom Grass.
A proud graduate of Barton College, Brian was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, where he formed bonds that lasted a lifetime.
He is survived by his three loving daughters, Emily Hendrix (Brandon), Megan Grass, and Mary Kathryn Grass; two cherished granddaughters, Delaney and Peyton Hendrix; his loving partner, Susan Marshall, and her children, McKenzie and Graham; his two loyal dogs, Dexter and Hatch; two brothers, Patrick Grass and Michael Grass; two sisters, Katie Dzeidzic and Maureen Webber; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian made his home in Sandbridge, where he found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved long days at the beach, cooking for friends and family, and sharing laughter and stories with those he loved most. His warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on December 6, 2025, 11 AM, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 1265 Sandbridge Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Liver Foundation.
He will be remembered always for his big heart, easy smile, and the love he gave so freely.
