Charlene “Chris” Dobbs Potts , 88 of Wichita, Kansas (formally of Mt. Sterling/Grove City, Ohio) entered into rest on Friday, Mar 28, 2025. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 18, 1936 , the daughter of Arthur Lee Curtis Dobbs and Vivian J. Landis Dobbs (Abbott). Chris worked retail at her family business in Mt. Sterling, Ohio and later in the hospitality industry while being an active mother of three children. Chris is preceded in death by her brothers Albert Leroy Dobbs(1945), Edward Curtis Dobbs(1997), former husband Ronald E. Potts(2020), partner Kelley Ferrell(2019), and both parents. Chris is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ronald C. and Kristy Potts, son and partner, David L. Potts and Randall Sheffield, daughter and son in law, Melody L. and Robin Kennedy, brother and sister in law, Rick L. and Robbie Abbott. Chris is also survived by six (6) grandchildren, Tiphany, Joe, Misty Kay, Anthony, April, & Grant, three (3) great grandchildren Xavier, Scarlett, and Riley and an extended family of six (6) nieces and seven (7) nephews. Chris is remembered by a love to cook, enjoying time with her family and making friends everywhere she traveled. Chris loved her dogs and lived with her son David in Kansas for the past five (5) years; lastly at Azria Health Wichita since February 2024. Chris will always be known for her personality, quick wit, and sense of style and fashion. She had a coordinated outfit with accessories for every occasion. In lieu of flowers, the family request remembrances be sent to St. Judes Children's Hospital (stjude.org) or ASPCA for the prevention of cruelty of animals (aspca.org).
