Our dearest Daniel J. Taibo, “Dany”, passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 71. He is survived by his mother, Reina Taibo, sister Claudina Taibo- Anderson from the metropolitan Houston area. He was predeceased by his father, Amaro G Taibo, age 88, and his oldest brother, Amaro A. Taibo, age 76.
Dany showed talent for drawing since his early years as a young boy in Cuba. After graduating from the University of Houston in 1974, he became a commercial artist. Throughout his life, his advocacy and love for animals made him very special, always setting an example for his young nephew Omar and nieces Lisa, Angela and Alisha. In celebrating his life and reflecting his spirit, Dany went out of his way to help others with unwavering kindness and compassion. He will be greatly missed and without doubt is resting with God’s blessings under an angel’s wings, and in good health.
