In Loving Memory

Debra Kay Holley, known affectionately as Debbie, passed away peacefully at her home in Knoxville, Tennessee, on June 26, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on July 15, 1963, to the late Norma Jean and William Holley, Debbie was a proud graduate of Central High School and attended the University of Tennessee. Debbie lived her life with a vibrant spirit and a fierce determination that never wavered, even in the face of significant challenges. For over 25 years, she demonstrated remarkable resilience and strength, defying the odds and inspiring all who knew her. While life’s hardships changed aspects of her journey, Debbie's will to live fully and joyfully never dimmed. She was the proud mother of one daughter, and her greatest joy came from her family, including her two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Debbie was devoted to them and instilled in her daughter the values of hard work, perseverance, and unwavering love. Professionally, Debbie thrived in roles that brought her purpose and connection. She treasured her work and the friendships she built at Whittle Communications and HGTV. She embraced a “work hard, play harder” philosophy and lived life to the fullest. Debbie is survived by her life partner, Dave Roberts; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Robert Rose; her grandchildren, William Rose and Jasmine Holder; and her great-granddaughters, Paisley and Addilyn White. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Susie Holley; nieces Danielle Truong, Logan Lively, Makenzie Holley, and Madison Holley; her cousin Vick and Tony Russell; her lifelong best friend, Deb Daugherty; and many other beloved relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by several loved ones who now welcome her with open arms.
