In Loving Memory

Debrah “Deb” Carol Kruchten-Shiek, of Waite Park, MN, passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 57 surrounded by her family who loved her and wanted her to finally be out of pain and at peace.

She was born on July 12, 1968, to Gloria Ann (La Dew) and Elmer Arthur Kruchten Sr. Deb lived a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion to her family.

Deb was first married to Daniel George Pfau on June 7, 1991, and together they raised four children who were her pride and joy: Amber (Charlie), Ashly (Rusty), April (Mitch), and Cory.

Later, on March 5, 2011, she married her high school sweetheart, Patrick Shiek. With Patrick, she welcomed her beloved son Patrick Shiek Jr., whose passing left a piece of her heart forever broken.

Deb’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren—Brantley and Jaxon Cooper, and Caroline Kociemba—who brought light and laughter to her days.

She found her deepest purpose and happiness in her family, often saying her children were her greatest accomplishment. Deb was known for her incredible work ethic and the joy she brought to those she worked alongside. Her smile could light up a room, and her warmth made everyone feel like family.

She was preceded in death by her father Elmer Sr; brother Elmer Kruchten Jr.; son Patrick JR; uncles Charles and Willard La Dew and grandparents. Deb is survived by her loving husband Patrick; her mother Gloria; her siblings Linda “Zippy” (Dick) Gabriel and Dean (Michelle) Kruchten; her children; grandchildren; best friend Jennifer (Pfau) Zinken, godparents Virgil and Carol Kruchten and many in-laws, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the VFW Granite Post 428 in St Cloud, MN.

Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Deb’s beautiful life and the love she shared so freely. Though her time with us was far too short, Deb leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and laughter that will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her.
