Diane Marie Poff (née Buckmaster) passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, just one day shy of her 81st birthday. Born in Hazel Park, Michigan, on September 25, 1944, Diane lived a life marked by devotion—to her family, her country, and her community.
Diane shared 64 loving years of marriage with her husband, Willard “Joe” Poff. Together, they raised two children and were blessed with two grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. A proud and decorated civil servant, Diane dedicated her career to the United States Post Office and the U.S. Army Tank-automotive Armaments Command, where her commitment and integrity earned her the respect of colleagues and the gratitude of her nation.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph Mirl Poff; her parents, Mirl and Flora Buckmaster; and her siblings Juanita, Maxine, Francis, Kenneth, and Buzz. Diane’s memory lives on through her husband Joe; her daughter Michelle (Eric) Trotto; and her cherished grandchildren, Elaina (Tom) Barnes and Toby Barnes.
Diane will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her quiet grace, and the deep love she gave to those around her. Her legacy endures in the lives she touched and the family she nurtured.
