Gary Lynn Abney Sr - Obituary

Gary passed away on November 1, 2025 at Barnes in St. Louis. He was the beloved son of Maynard Junior Abney and his mother, Betty Jean Barton who also preceded him in death. His passion in life was making that oh mighty dollar. He ran Abneys Salvage, found a love of lawn mowers, and he loved playing slot machines throughout his life. He made many of friends along the way and he made sure he impacted every person he knew. Gary is survived by his son, Gary Abney II; Grandaughter Paisley; his brother, Marty Abney and his wife Carol; his nephew, Zach; and his niece, Nikki. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lonnie, Mark, John, and Jesse Abney. Gary loved his kids, grandkids, family, and friends and was always there when they needed him.
