Ginny L. Hensell, 72, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 13, 2025. surrounded by her children. Ginny was born July 27, 1953 in London, England to William and Doreen Hensell and was the fourth of eight children. From her school years at Alcee Fortier High in New Orleans, La volunteering with those with special needs to obtaining her Certified Nursing Assistant degree and devoting her career to providing hospice care, Ginny's passion was helping those who were unable to care for themselves. She loved Jesus, participating in charity 5ks, making new friends, and traveling to visit family. Ginny leaves behind a legacy of service, compassion, acceptance, grace and love.
She will be missed by her three children, Ed (Lerrae), Ben (Dawn) and Aimee, who were her world; her best friend and caregiver, Raymond; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her seven siblings, a host of nieces and nephews and countless family she decided to "keep" or "adopt" along the way.
