Gregory Scott McFarland, 63, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. Born on April 19, 1962, Gregory was a proud Alabamian and a lifelong fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football. His love for the game brought him joy, connection, and countless Saturdays spent cheering on his team with unwavering loyalty.
Gregory’s generosity and thoughtfulness extended beyond his life, as he made the selfless decision to donate his body to science—a final act of giving that reflected his quiet strength and humility.
He is survived by his children: Christopher McFarland, Shaun McFarland, Heath McFarland, and Heather Roberts. He also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren: Peyton Roberts, Damien McFarland, Natalie Roberts, Oliver McFarland, and Jaxon Roberts.
Gregory will be remembered for his kind spirit, his steady presence, and his deep love for his family and his home state.

A private remembrance will be held by family at a later date. In honoring Gregory’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
