In Loving Memory
Ivan Jay Grimmett has sadly passed away from colon cancer on November 10th 2025. Instead of focusing on why he passed let’s focus on how he lived. Jay was a beautiful man, with a childlike spirit and the most infectious laugh. He loved his family deeply and his faith fearlessly. Jay was a lifelong Learner and through his life he worked as a mason in Norwich Connecticut, a truck driver in Fort Wayne Indiana and at the end of his life, an environmental scientist in Maine. He studied Arabic and loved to play guitar to his daughter. He was a lover of fishing and nature, the arts and music. Jay was a leader in his community and if you ask anyone they will say that he was always there to support them. He was a one of a kind man. Jay is survived by his loving daughter Elizabeth, an elementary school teacher in Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his Uncle Bob of Connecticut, and many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
