James Phillip Johnson
1957-2025
Jim Johnson, 68, passed away on October 27, 2025. He was born in Detroit, MI, and grew up in Long Beach, CA.
He proudly served in the US Air Force and later made his home in the Sacramento, CA area for many decades before moving to SE Tennessee.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, siblings, in-laws and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A talented AI composer and computer geek, Jim shared over 400 songs on YouTube. His terrific sense of humor and imagination show in the music he produced.
Jim loved Christ, recently serving as a literature evangelist while sharing his faith with sincerity and warmth. His life reflected kindness, humility, and a willingness to help anyone in need.
Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted family man, and loyal brother and friend. His gentle spirit, generous heart, and deep love for his family and community touched many lives. He will be dearly missed!
In accordance with his wishes, Jim donated his body to science. Per his request, there will be no funeral.
“He sleeps in Jesus, awaiting the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior.” Titus 2:13
