Jan Parmelee Atkinson

Jan Atkinson peacefully passed away March 29, 2025 surrounded by family.
She was born in Caldwell, Idaho to Don and Polly Parmelee on March 7, 1953, the second of three daughters. Jan graduated from Caldwell High School in 1971.
After briefly running her own business, she began her career as a pharmacy technician, first at Pennywise Drug in Caldwell, then many years at Albertsons in Boise. She was then hired by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy, where she worked for 19 years, eventually retiring as Chief Compliance Officer.
Jan married Roy Atkinson October 26, 1991, and together they raised seven children.
Roy was by her side throughout her long-term health issues. She is survived by her husband Roy and her two sisters Sue Cook and Jill Gibbons, her daughters Lory Fish and Brynn Briggs, Roy’s children Kala Atkinson, Roy Atkinson III, AJ Atkinson, and Mandy Atkinson, and father and mother-in-law Roy and Carol Atkinson. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Jan’s life will be held on Sunday, June 22 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Cottonwood Grille, 913 W River Street, in Boise, Idaho.
