In Loving Memory of Joann Lynn Martinez. Sept 8th, 1965-Jan 20, 2025. A beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister & wife. Passed away to be with our Lord on Jan. 20, 2025. She was 59 years old. Born on Sept. 8th, 1965 in Walsenburg, Colorado. The eldest child of Julian (Jan) Martinez of Segundo, Colo, & late Verna Marquez of Raton, NM. She had a love of fishing & life of the party, center of attention, those who knew her, knew she was brutally honest. Joann was a loving mother to Yolanda Marquez of Edmond OK, Sandra Galindo of Moore OK, & Carlos Marquez of Amarillo TX. A special motherly bond to Miguel Hermosillo of Amarillo TX, Richard Padilla of Del City OK & Desiree Padilla of Edmond OK. Joann is survived by her father Julian (Jan) Martinez, husband Ruben Cardenas, 2 daughters, 1 son, 7 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, & 6 great grandsons, sisters Sherri (James) Martinez of Trinidad, Colo. Denise Martinez Garcia of Raton, NM, Julie Martinez of Edmond OK, Misty Martinez of Trinidad, Colo, Liann (Michael) Richardson of Trinidad, Colo. late brother Patrick Walker, numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Verna Marquez & brother Patrick Walker. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Martinez Family. Joann will be deeply missed & forever remembered. Fly high my angel.
