Katherine Joyce Mcphie - Obituary

Kathy McPhie, beloved sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, at the age of 60.
Kathy was born on April 23, 1965, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was known for her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter. After attending Biloxi high school, Kathy moved to Houston, Texas, where she found her favorite city. She was an avid fan of the Houston Texans, often cheering them on with enthusiasm.
Kathy had a passion for golf and loved grilling outside, delighting family and friends with her famous barbecue chicken. Kathy took great pride in her cooking, often preparing pots of chili or gumbo that brought everyone together. On Sundays, Kathy could be found watching football, with a cold Corona in hand.
Kathy is survived by her sisters, Kimberly McPhie Roberts, Cynthia McPhie Windle, and Linda McPhie Hodge, who will cherish her memory and the love she shared. She was preceded in death by her son, Austin McPhie, her brother Michael McPhie, and her parents, Charles McPhie and Brenda McPhie.
The family has chosen to celebrate Kathy's life privately, so there will be no formal memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a mental health charity organization of your choice.
Kathy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
