Kevin David Turner - Obituary

Kevin Turner of Romeoville IL passed away at his home on January 17, 2025 at the age of 68 from a courageous battle with kidney cancer.  Kevin was born on July 25, 1956 in Berwyn IL.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan along with his beloved Bears.  When he wasn’t watching sports he could be found in his yard keeping it in great shape.  He has been a lifelong resident of Romeoville and many people knew him as coach, pops or just plain Kevin.  He had a hand in helping get the youth football started once again in Romeoville and all three of his boys grew up on a field in Romeoville with their dad as a coach or just cheering from the sidelines. 

Kevin is survived by his 2 sons Andy (Moriah), Erik (Holly). his grandchildren Aiden Turner, Ria Turner, Collin, Harper Turner, and Bennett Turner. 3 of his siblings, Tom Turner of Kentucky, Kim Hardman (Rich) of Joliet and Terra Marquardt (Mark) of Minooka. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dave and Donna Turner, a sister Karin Zingen, his son Charlie Bacon. 

A memorial service will be Saturday February 8 2025  from 1 to 5pm @ American Legion 15052 South Archer Avenue, Lockport, IL. We look forward to seeing everyone to celebrate Kevin's life. As per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
