Lawrence (Larry) Roger Salus - Obituary

Our brother, Lawrence ("Larry") Roger Salus passed away in Las Vegas, NV on Monday afternoon, February 9, 2026.  Larry was the son of Arthur and Thelma Salus of Washington, D.C.  Our dad was not with our mom on the the day that Larry was born (December 24, 1944); instead, our Dad, a 1LT/Navigator in the Army Air Corps, was with his Heavy Bomber Group in southern Italy. Our dad first saw his baby boy when he returned stateside, which was around two months after Larry was born, after having completed 50 bombing missions.  Larry was an athelete; he, as a Middle Guard, was a member of the Montgomery Blair High School (Silver Spring, MD) football team that won the Montgomery County High School League Championship his senior year.  Larry went on to play football for Montgomery Junior College.  Larry relocated to San Diego, CA several years after graduating from MC.  He was a Sales Manager for Drew Ford (La Mesa, CA) for more than 30 years.  Larry retired to Las Vegas; he was an avid golfer.  Larry did not have any children.  Larry is survived by his wife, Candy.
