In Loving Memory

It is with heavy hearts we share that Lora Jean Sisk passed away on July 17, 2025. Lora was born November 11, 1968, in Eugene, Oregon, to Lon Humphrey and the late Calla Humphrey. She grew up in a loving and supportive home, where family nights often included penny ante poker or cruising the gut. As a child, Lora loved spending time with her grandparents, cousins, and extended family. During her teen years, she formed long-lasting friendships and held the memories of those times close to her heart.

Lora shared a deep bond with her younger sister, Jenny – they supported each other through every high and low. She also shared a special connection with her brother Brad, always looking out for him, giving him love and guidance through the years.

Lora was a devoted wife to Devon, and together they built a life full of love and made every memory count. Her love for her children, Lonee and Thomas, was unconditional. She was a guiding light, biggest cheerleader, and best friend to her daughter, Lonee. She shared a special connection with Thomas that only a mother and son can have, and she cherished their bond deeply.

Becoming a grandmother to Rylinn, Madison, James, Kaleb, and Lynnara was one of Lora’s greatest joys. Her love for them was endless, and she treasured her time with each one of them.

Lora’s closeness with her family was the foundation of her life. Whether it was a phone call from her nephew Drake to brighten her day, or getting a speeding ticket with her nieces Brittany and McKenzie riding shotgun, Lora treasured those little moments. She was loved by everyone who knew her, and she held a very special place in the hearts of her in-laws, Pam and Larry, who treated her as one of their own.

Lora loved her dogs, not as pets but as family. Jake was the love of her life, Molly watched over her like a mother hen, and the newest addition, her fur grandbaby Alex, brought her the kind of joy that only puppies can bring.

Lora worked in the trucking industry for several years, where her bright smile and sense of humor made her a joy to work with. Most recently, she stayed home and homeschooled her grandson James—offering him love, support, plenty of laughs, and the occasional curse word.

She also enjoyed trips to Reno, Las Vegas, and the coast—whether it was the simple pleasures of the ocean or the thrill of a slot machine, she loved those adventures.

Over the past year, Lora’s giving heart shone brighter than ever. She showed up without hesitation to care for her daughter, her sister, and her father when each of them needed her most. In those moments, she reminded her family of the depth of her love, her quiet courage, and her unwavering devotion.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved mother, Calla. Together again, their love shines on in the hearts of all who knew them.
