Mary Ellis, 64, passed away on March 25, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on July 3, 1961, in Washington, D.C., Mary brought joy and warmth to those around her throughout her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Denton Ellis; her son, Joshua Ellis; her daughter-in-law, Kathryn Ellis; and her cherished grandchildren, Zoey Genavieve and Kyler. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Anita Minshew, and her brothers, Todd, Heath and Jeff Minshew. Mary was predeceased by her father, Robert Minshew.
Mary will be remembered for the laughter she inspired and the deep love she shared with family and friends. Her ability to bring light into the lives of those she cared for will remain a treasured memory for all who knew her.
A funeral service to honor Mary’s life will be held on April 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Merriam Christian Church, located at 9401 Johnson Drive.
