Our beloved Monica Rae Serrato, age 40 resident of Jacksonville, Texas gained her wings to heaven on Friday, January 3, 2025.
She was born in Austin, Texas on March 2, 1984 to Maria Lydia Cantu and Alberto Rey Serrato.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Acosta; son Angel Serrato; father Alberto "Bobby"Serrato; Grandparents, Andrew Cantu & Gabriel “Popos” Villalobos, Isabel Serrato; Sister, Bianca Serrato.
She is survived by her children, Christopher Rosas Jr. (Abby), Charles Chassius Rosas and Gabriella Acosta; mother, Maria Lydia Cantu; sister, Andrea Michelle Serrato, half-brothers Manny and Buddy Serrato; Grandma Rosie Villalobos; nephews Christopher Matthew Gonzales and Andrei JoGabriel Serrato; many aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
We would like to thank her Jacksonville family, Dee Turek and family; best friend, Crystal McMichael Silva.
Monica’s greatest loves were her children who were her pride and joy. She was a very loving and very protective mother.
She enjoyed spending time with her Jacksonville family, and was always willing to give a helping hand.
Her caring heart and witty spirit will be forever missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
