Peter (Pete) Ruiz, 80, of Carol Stream IL passed away on September 21st, 2025 in Carol Stream.
Visitation will be held at Brust Funeral Home in Carol Stream on September 26th, 2025 at 4pm, with service to follow at 7pm. Burial will be on September 30th, 2025 at 1130am at Skyline Memorial Cemetary in Monee, IL. Brust Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Peter was born in Weslaco, Texas on 03/31/1945 to parents Pedro and Maria. After moving to Chicago Heights, IL at an early age, he graduated from Bloom Township High School. He served in the US Army, before returning to Chicago Heights to join the local police force. Upon leaving the CHPD, he went on to become an Illinois State Investigator for white collar crimes, and then eventually leaving Law Enforcement to start a career in Insurance. He had a Masters in Business Administration, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as well as Rifle Marksman during his military service.
Peter is survived by his sons, Marc and his wife Taina (Ty) and their children Aidan, Sophia, and Nicholas, and Paul and his wife Cheryl, and siblings, Lupe, Olga, Virginia, Frank, Cindy, and Brian. He is preceded in death by his wife, Madeleine, parents Pedro and Maria, and siblings Nancy, Gloria, and John.
