Raymond H. Johnson, age 98, passed away on July 8, 2026. Born on February 11, 1928, Raymond lived a long life marked by resilience, strength, and devotion to his family.

Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Johnson, who passed away in 1994 after a courageous battle with cancer. Also, preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Marie Thurs, and other family members. Though they left this world before him, their memories remained a cherished part of his life.

Raymond is survived by his granddaughter, Katie Victoria Thurs, who will continue to honor and preserve his memory and family legacy. And by giving Victoria Marie Thurs (Johnson) her final dying wish in July of 2011 for Katie Victoria Thurs to be put in Victoria’s Thurs’ (Johnson’s) place in the family Will. As the only person in this family that never lived in Raymond ‘s home and never asked for financial help or used Raymond financially, Raymond will be missed and Raymond is no longer bearing the financial stability of individuals who refused to work and were/are addicted to substances.

Those who knew Raymond will remember him for his quiet strength, wisdom, perseverance, and the lasting impact he had on those around him, even when all those people did was take advantage of Raymond in any way they could. His life spanned nearly a century of history, and his legacy lives on through the memories he created and the love he shared.

Raymond will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved wife, Ann, and his daughter, Victoria.

“Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the memories we cherish and the love they gave.”
