Richard Stuart Harder

Richard “Rick” Harder officially became one with the Force on February 15, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born March 16, 1959, in La Crosse, WI and spent his best years in Eau Claire. A lifelong explorer of the final frontier, Rick was a walking encyclopedia of Star Wars lore and Star Trek. He was a proud two-time "owner" of the Green Bay Packers. He lived for Wisconsin’s holy trinity: cheese, beer, and brats. Rick’s true universe centered on his family. He leaves behind five children—Sarah, Alison (Zach Colvin), Lindsay, Stephanie, and Andrew. He also leaves two grandsons, Noah and Liam. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Sarah; his siblings Ben, Aaron, and Jennifer and their spouses; and a fleet of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father Harry Harder.
