Robert Louis Derusse

Robert was born in Beeville, Texas. He was the son of Robert L. DeRusse, Sr. And Florence DeRusse. Robert enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and fought bravely in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged and Earned numerous medals and awards. He received a Purple Heart (1st Award), The National Defense Medal, the RVN Cross of Gallantry, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Bronze Star. Robert retired from North Texas Steel in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a master welder. Robert also enjoyed fishing, Rving, camping, being outdoors, and working on welding projects at home.
Robert is predeceased by his parents; the love of his life, Angie DeRusse; One son, Gilbert DeRusse and One Sister, Lupita (Lupe) Steward. He is survived by a son, Gabriel DeRusse and wife Luana; 4 sisters: Rachel Newman, Josie Zuniga, Patsy DeRusse and Crissy DeRusse; as well as 4 brothers: Eddie DeRusse and wife Diane, Jesse DeRusse and wife Petra, Raymond DeRusse, and Christopher DeRusse; as well as 6 grandchildren: Jonathan, Jazmin, Janee, Joseph, Samuel, and Adrian.
Robert will be missed by his family. The family will hold a private service and interment.
