Ronald E. Kelly, age 90, of Brighton, died October 7th, 2025. Ron, aka Kelly, was born April 23rd, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Edward Kelly and Wilma Bogart. On September 10, 1955, he married his first wife, Dorothy Hartley (who passed away on October 22, 2019). Ron had four children with Dorothy: Mike (Susan) Kelly, Ken (Helen) Kelly, Linda (Tom) Sproull, and Janice Spencer. Kelly was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Bruce Spencer. On __date___Kelly married the love of his life Ardys Linden or Hartley and they had a daughter, Shana (Shaun) Smail. Stepchildren are Lisa Hartley, Tammy Smith, Craig Hartley, and Keith Hartley. Samuel, Malachi).Kelly is survived by his sister, Donna Lauzon. Kelly graduated from Redford Union High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, pole vaulting, and was the class president. Kelly was a gifted athlete who was a nationally ranked skeet shooter, a hunter, and a single-digit golfer who never shied away from a bet on the golf course or the pool table. Kelly was self-employed shortly after high school and went from owning his own lumberyard, to being a home builder, brick and foundation contractor, to eventually becoming the co-owner of the Woodland Golf Course in Brighton. Kelly was known for being a nice guy who never hesitated to help a friend in need. Kelly was a member of the Eagles in Howell. A memorial service is scheduled at the Eagles in Howell on _____________ at ___pm.
