Roy Allen Jones
In Loving Memory
Roy Allen Jones, 69, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, in Roseburg, Oregon, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on July 7, 1955, Roy lived a life defined by unwavering loyalty, strength, and an unshakeable dedication to those he loved.
Roy proudly served his country as a United States Marine, including service in Vietnam. His military experience shaped the man he became—dependable, strong, and always ready to answer the call when others needed him. These qualities carried through every aspect of his life, from his career as a skilled auto mechanic to his role as a devoted father and grandfather. For decades, Roy worked as an auto mechanic, where his expertise and "make it happen" attitude earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike. Whether fixing an engine or solving any problem that came his way, Roy approached every challenge with determination and skill. His hands were never idle—when he wasn't working, you could find him tinkering, working on cars, or preparing for his next hunting or camping adventure.
Roy's greatest joy came from his family. He was the beloved father of Chad, Miranda, Jamie, Ryan, Quentin, and Grace, and the cherished grandfather of Ian, Cara, Caitlinn, Brawley, Landon, Tiffany, Michael, Travis, Jackson, and Max. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life, and he never missed an opportunity to support them, guide them, or simply spend time with them.
Roy's love was constant and unconditional—he was always available when his family needed him. He is survived by his six children, ten grandchildren, his sister Connie, and his brother Danny, along with extended family and countless friends who will remember him for his dependability, his generous heart, and his ability to make things happen when others said it couldn't be done.
Those who knew Roy will remember a man who kept his word, showed up when it mattered, and loved deeply. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in his children and the memories he created with his grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Roy's life will be held on August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the VA Cemetery in Roseburg, Oregon. All who knew and loved Roy are invited to attend and share in honoring his remarkable life.
