Obituary for Sara Elizabeth Pate Lett Fayetteville, North Carolina – Sara Elizabeth Pate Lett, age 88, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thanksgiving morning at Village Green Nursing Home. Known for her vibrant spirit and her remarkable gift of gab, Sara never met a stranger. She had a unique ability to connect with people, sharing stories and laughter that brightened the lives of those around her. Born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, Sara was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth and Sonny Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lett, and her son, Scott Lett. Sara was also predeceased by her cherished mother, Elizabeth Chapman, who instilled in her the values of love and compassion. Sara is survived by her granddaughter, Wendy Savoca, and her husband, David Savoca. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother to Carter Savoca, who brought immense happiness to her life. Throughout her life, Sara’s humor and genuine interest in others left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her stories and laughter will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all of us to embrace each moment and connect with those around us. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sara’s memory. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
