Shirley Anne Link, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 10th, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. Born on August 20th, 1944, Shirley lived a life filled with love, compassion, and resilience.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Patsy Ryan and Dee Kelley. She had a brother, Dee (Butch) Kelley; her son, the late Robin Link; and her daughter, the late Renee Morrow. She is survived by her loving grandsons, Ricky Link, Robby Link, and Jeremy Morrow; her granddaughter, Amanda Morrow; and eight cherished great-grandchildren.
Known as "Grandma" to many in her community, Shirley touched countless lives with her kindness and warmth. She had a passion for cooking, painting, sewing, gardening, and, most importantly, spending time with her loved ones.
Despite facing significant health challenges, including surviving polio as a child and a gunshot wound, Shirley persevered with strength and grace. These experiences shaped her into a woman of remarkable resilience and compassion, which she shared generously with everyone she met.
Details regarding funeral arrangements will be communicated by the family. Shirley will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love and memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, even for a brief moment.
