Shirley Mae Thacker "Shirl" age 54 passed away on February 20, 2025, in Hospice Care, Hamilton, Ohio. Born on April 22, 1970, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Shirley brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout their life. Shirley was a devoted mother to her sons, Brandon Iames and Jeremiah Iames (Brittany), and a cherished grandparent to Lucy, Carter, and Leo. She shared a close bond with her sister, Sandra Meyer (Napier), and brothers Jim Napier, Rick Lamping (Trinity), and Ray Lamping (Mary Ackerson). Shirley was also deeply loved by her nieces and nephews - Jimmy Joe, Nicki, Tasha, Josh (Morgan), Charlie, Adam, Charlene, Krystal (Cody), Jessie (Taylor), AJ, Joey, Lauren, Ryan, Taylor, Shelby, and Nathan - as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Lamping; father Manuel Thacker; and brothers Michael Napier and Charlie Napier. Shirley was known for her loving nature and vibrant spirit. Her kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Shirley's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Highview Christian Church, located at 2651 Adams Road Cincinnati, Ohio. Following the service, friends and family are welcome to gather at the Arlington Memorial Gardens at 2145 Compton Road in Cincinnati to fulfill one of Shirley's wishes.
