SUZANNE KAY DECKER (Arnold)
Suzanne Kay Decker (Arnold), 67, passed away on September 10, 2025 unexpectedly, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Born on June 4, 1958, in the same city she called home throughout her life, Suzanne brought warmth and compassion to those around her.
A graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Suzanne was known for her caring nature and deep devotion to her family. She was a loving and understanding mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence brought comfort and joy to generations.
Suzanne is lovingly remembered by her children: Jeannie Lynn Schatz, Kathy Dougherty, John Mears Jr., Sara Mears, and Sean Scarlett. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who will carry forward the love she so freely gave. She is also survived by her brother Melvin E. Arnold Jr.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Heather Ruth Leese; her sister Patty Singer; and her parents, Alice (Brooks) and Melvin E. Arnold, Sr.
Suzanne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time outdoors and taking walks that allowed her to connect with nature. A creative spirit, she enjoyed adult coloring as a way to relax and express herself. Ever curious and lighthearted, she delighted in trying new snacks as they hit the shelves—always eager for a small adventure in flavor.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May it bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
