Walter William Woods Sr. (Woody)
September 24, 1976 – January 8, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter William Woods Sr., also known to many as "Woody," on January 8, 2025, at his home. He was 48 years old. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Woody was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his sons, Walter William Woods Jr. and Shane Woods; his daughter, Haley Woods; his grandchildren, Aaliyah Woods, Aubriella Phifer, and Walter William Woods III; and his brother, Ronald Woods.
Woody was the proud owner of V&W Maintenance, where he dedicated his life to providing lawn care, snow plowing, and general property preservation services. His work ethic was matched only by his generous spirit.
In his free time, Woody was an avid music lover, enjoyed fishing, and could often be found at the shooting range. However, nothing was more important to him than spending time with his family. He was a selfless man, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, even at his own expense. Woody had an uncanny ability to make friends wherever he went, and he made it his mission to brighten others' days—even if it was just a smile to the person at the gas pump.
Woody's warmth, kindness, and infectious personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Woody's life will be held on January 18, 2025, at 1951 Parkman Rd, Warren, Ohio. Calling hours will take place from 12-2 PM with a service afterwards.
