In Loving Memory

William A. Cradle ("Bill")

On Sunday, January 11, 2026, William A. "Bill" Cradle, age 79, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully. He was predeceased by his parents, William Cradle and Rosamond L. Cradle.

Bill leaves behind a lasting legacy of leadership, generosity, and service to the Greater Atlantic City community. He was deeply committed to civic life and the arts, serving on the Absecon Lighthouse Board beginning in 2007 and later as Vice Chairman, rarely missing a meeting or event. A passionate supporter of history, the arts, and nonprofit work, Bill generously gave his time to organizations including the Atlantic City Ballet, Literacy Volunteers, and the South Jersey AIDS Alliance.

An accomplished entrepreneur, Bill founded Atlantic Color, Ltd., a graphic design and printing firm that served clients such as the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, Harrah's Atlantic City, and Showboat. A graduate of Perth Amboy schools, he went on to study journalism at Rutgers University.

Above all, Bill was known for his love of family and friends, his kindness, steady presence, and positive spirit. His impact will be felt for years to come by all who were fortunate to know him.

He is survived by his aunt, Ernestine Cradle of Ardmore, Oklahoma; a host of beloved cousins; a godson; and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
